[Nexsys Makes Safety Helmets Smarter] A Korean startup has unveiled an LTE-based smart safety helmet for construction and plant workers as well as military and police forces. With a built-in HD camera and a biometric wristband, Helpware records everything that the wearer sees as well as tracking his or her real time heartbeat and location. We meet Nexsys, the startup behind the smart headgear technology which strives to become a leader in Korea's B2B wearable technology.

Even at this moment, our friends and family are working out in the field despite the dangers.  A smooth communication is of the utmost importance for their safety, but it is not easy to use a smartphone when you are out in the field. This is the reason why we have decided to develop a 'special' wearable system to protect the lives of field workers from any contingencies. The result is the Nexsys ‘Helpware.' In the Helpware's 'helmet,' a camera and an LTE module are built in. This allows the worker to film the situation and transfer it to the cloud server in real time. There is also a speaker and a microphone in the helmet, so the worker can always keep in touch with the control center. Also, the 'Helpware band' worn on the wrist has a cardiac sensor, and the 'Helpware shoes' worn on the feet has a toxic gas sensor.
